During discussions and reviews, many service providers have expressed a wish to be able to share good practice with colleagues, particularly policies and procedures. The documents posted here will hopefully give a head start to any organisation wishing to produce a new policy/procedure, or review their old one. So please feel free to use them and amend them to suit the needs of your organisation.
If you have something which you believe to be 'Good Practice', and would like it to be posted on the site, please send it to us via the 'contact Us' link.
As Service Reviews continue, we hope to be able to build up a library of Good Practice, which will help service providers across Surrey.

Identifying good practice to accessing settled accommodation in the private rented sectorThe paper is aimed at local authorities and their partners, including Supporting People teams, RSLs, voluntary organisations and private landlords and lettings agents.
Improving access to the private rented sector, and helping people sustain existing private sector tenancies will have a positive impact on preventing homelessness,as well as assisting authorities to meet the target of reducing the use of temporary accommodation by 50% by 2010.
We hope you find the good practice examples in the paper helpful.
